George S. Liparidis

George S. Liparidis is president and chief executive officer of Sempra Pipelines & Storage, which develops, operates and owns natural gas pipelines and storage projects. Sempra Pipelines & Storage operates assets in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Mexico and South America.

Sempra Pipelines & Storage is a subsidiary of Sempra Global, the umbrella for Sempra Energy's businesses operating in competitive energy markets. Sempra Energy is a San Diego-based, Fortune 500, energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas, and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies' 13,600 employees serve more than 29 million consumers worldwide.

Prior to his current position, Liparidis was senior vice president of Sempra Energy International, the international subsidiary of Sempra Energy. In this job, he was responsible for business development and operations of Sempra’s natural gas and electric distribution assets in Mexico and South America.

Before that, Liparidis served as project manager for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), another Sempra Energy subsidiary. Prior to SDG&E, he worked for Energy America, an independent power producer, as director of Financial Analysis and Planning and as development manager.

Liparidis has a master's degree in business administration from San Diego State University and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah at Salt Lake City. He serves on the board of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA).
